Is Bullriding for you?

There are several organizations for kids who are interested in bull riding. The National Little Britches Rodeo is perhaps the premier youth rodeo organization. There are hundreds of youth rodeos sponsored by them across the country. Many kids get their first taste of rodeo through this organization. The National High School Rodeo Organization offers older kids a chance to grow as rodeo athletes. This has become a wide spread circuit helping students develop their skills. There is also a division that focuses on junior high aged students. Many bull riders have been a part of these organizations. Compared to other sports, these circuits and leagues offer a similar line of training as one works their way up the competition ladder.

What if you are older and are looking to make it as a bull rider? A bull rider must be in great shape. Their body will be put through extreme conditions. In order to stand up to the wear and tear, the rider must be in excellent physical condition. There are many bull riding schools across the country and in Canada. These offer older riders a chance to learn from the best. You will learn how to ride properly and will be provided with extensive training. It is essential to have expert training and guidance if you want to make it in this tough sport. Another way to get involved is to go to as many bull riding events as possible.

At an event, take a close look at what the bull riders are doing throughout the event. Talk to whoever you can who is connected with the sport. Bull riders are famous for the approachability.
